Michelle N. Sliwa

Michelle is a licensed California attorney who began practicing law in 2016. Since 2018, Michelle has been conducting work-place investigations for public agency clients that involve claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, unprofessional conduct, and other work-place issues. Michelle is also experienced with developing materials and delivering presentations concerning a variety of issues associated with the school setting, including Title IX and special education matters.
Prior to joining LWI, Michelle practiced law at a large California law firm that specialized in education law. In addition to conducting investigations, Michelle practiced special education litigation and regularly advised clients on all matters related to special education. Because of her unique background, Michelle has an in-depth understanding of working with sensitive subject matter in both work-place and school settings.

Education and Certifications 

Michelle received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles (2016) and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (summa cum laude) (2012). 
Michelle graduated from Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California (2008).
